Grassroots Allies is a Copenhagen-based social enterprise operating nationally and internationally to strengthen grassroots actors, social entrepreneurs, institutions, and ecosystems through advisory services, project incubation, and catalytic partnerships.
We operate at the intersection of communities, institutions, and impact actors — ensuring grassroots leadership shapes systems change.
What we offer
A platform for social entrepreneurs
GA provides a collaborative platform for – individuals, associations, civil society organizations, social enterprises, public-private initiatives, among others.
We connect actors, facilitate networking, and enable joint resourcing to support sustainable growth.

Advisory and consultancy
Grassroots Allies provides strategic advisory, ecosystem facilitation, and project incubation support to European institutions, public authorities, foundations, and mission-driven partners seeking grounded, context-sensitive, and scalable solutions.

Our approach is rooted in non-discrimination, cross-sector collaboration, and inclusive engagement.
Current initiatives
After a successful pilot phase, we are together with dedicated impact funders in the process of structuring a permanent community fund – The Grassroots Catalytic Fund. Aimed at supporting rural communities with context-sensitive financing, & advisory to build resilient local economies.
GA co-supports a house in Budhebera village, in Mayuge district in Eastern Uganda, that today serves as a vibrant community reflective space and co-working hub for grassroots groups and activities.
Furthermore, the house serves as a hub for community mobilization, education, and co-creation, supporting lifelong learning and grassroots development.
The RISE Sports Foundation is a community-driven initiative using soccer and other sports to empower youth and foster inclusion in Mayuge, Uganda. It runs multiple leagues—including senior, junior, and girls’ soccer—providing training, equipment, and developmental opportunities for young athletes.
Connect for Impact - Denmark
CFI project explores themes of inclusion, equitable partnerships, intercultural dialogue, and trust-building between between African diaspora groups and Danish CSOs. The aim is to build a Community of Practice (CoP) to routinize the two groups to work closer together, while highlighting the untapped expertise, networks, and contextual knowledge diasporas hold about their countries of origin.
